SPORTS, GAMES AND CCA :
Apart from the academics we have also aimed at the all round development of the personality of a child. With this regard we held various co-curricular activities sports and games in our vidyalaya.

  • we have regular morning PT at 5.30 to 6.00 am. And evening games at 5.00 to 6.00 pm. All students attend both morning PT and evening sports without fail. Our both PETs Mr. K.C.Pandit and Ms.Hemavathy strive and trained the students in all sports events and up keep the values of sports and games.

  • The students are also trained in the field of karate and yoga and other physical displays .

  • To bring out the hidden talents of the children both literary and cultural activities every Wednesday we are conducted CCA programmes. Inter house competitions were held to exhibit their talents and the gifted children were awarded.

 

PACE SETTING ACTIVITIES : Apart from the academics we have also aimed at the all round development of the personality of a child. With this regard we held various co-curricular activities sports and games in our vidyalaya.

  • With the help of Scouts and guides of the Vidyalaya amount was collected from the public of Kuknoor and Staff also donated. then that was sent to the National foundation for communal Harmony, New Delhi.

  • To enable the students to communicate effectively in English, the English department of Vidyalaya is conducted the special spoken English classes for junior students and the young children are much in enthusiastic to speak in English.

  • Migration is one of the major pace setting activities of the samiti. Migrating 30% of class IX children from Hindi speaking area to non Hindi speaking area and vice-versa. Around 25 students of class IX are sent to JNV Hoshagabad Madya Pradesh every year. In the same way the students of JNV Hoshagabad come to our school. All efforts are made to make them feel at home in the campus. And they are allowed to attend the phone calls of their parents, on second Saturday of the month.

TRAINING PROGRAMMES FOR STAFF :

  • PROJECT SHIKSHA: Keeping oneself abreast with the on going trands and techniques in the field of education is very essential for a teacher and NVS is very keen in keeping their teachers updated with the trends in the field of education. So it has made a point to all the staff to undergo a project shiksha in computers, held at JNV Vishakapatnam and JNV Pondicherry. And now our teachers have got computer knowledge and able to present their lessons through power point and smart room teaching.

  • MULTIMEDIA: IIIT( Indian Institute of information technology)has organized a training programme in multimedia and our teachers Mr.Raja Rao, Mr. Sanna goudar and Mr. Sudesh undergone this training and were directe to train the other staff members in the vidyalaya.

  • SCOUTS AND GUIDES: Motivating the students to have the service oriented mind towards society, two staff members Mrs.Radha Bai Joshi and Mr. Prakash have given the training at JNV Bangalore Rural. And they have started Boys Scouts patrol and Girls Guides Patrol in the vidyalaya. And these patrols were involved in Malaria eradication programme, pulse polio and national flag day. And it was also proposed to have NCC troop in the school and registered the name at Bellary and expecting the permission to start NCC shortly in the campus.

  • ARSH TRAINING PROGRAMME: To create awarness about AIDS among the adolescents Mr. Raja Rao, Mrs. Radha Bai Joshi and Mrs Prathiba Telkar had been to JNV Hassan to get training in ARSH in the on the of Sept 05. Under the guidance of these teachers various activities were conducted and guest lectures were arranged.

GREEN SCHOOL PROGRAMME : Mr.Sanjay Kumar attended the training.And he was trained in beautification of the campus, maintaining the kitchen garden and planting of medicinal plants. Now the rose garden near the administrative block is under progress.

REMEDIAL TEACHING TRAINING :With view of elevating the slow learners, achieving the zero failures and understanding the psychology of the children a training was held at JNV.Cudapa Mr. Sanjay Kumar attended the training. And also trained the other staff, in the mentioned subject, who are handling the lower class.

TRAINING FOR THE OFFICE STAFF : Our office staff were also given training in their respective areas to update their knowledge and maintain the records systematically in their fields.

MESS: :Mess is well maintained by a committee of teachers, House Masters and House Leaders under the guidance of the principal and vice principal.

  • As per the guidelines of the samiti good nutritious food is given to all the students. Mess provides eggs, fruits, milk and hot water regularly along with tasty food and jawar roti is given once in a month to the children physically and mentally fit. Children and the parents are happy with the functioning of mess and the food provided.

  • All toilet items and stationary items are provided along with the uniform, footwear to all the students regularly as per the norms of the samiti.
